Salus Dairy Powder
Salus and Salus Lite are new and rather unique dairy powders. They are unique because although our standard fat/oil content powders contain 1.5% fat/oil (Salus Lite powder) and 26% fat/oil (Salus powder), our clients are having the fat/oil content they require manufactured to their exact specifications. For them no more in plant blending of milk powders, this converts into a time saving which is a cost saving. Cost savings mean greater profits and that's probably why we're working. Should a client require a fat content of 8%, 12%, 16% or whatever, the factory, located in the state of Victoria, Australia, will manufacture to the exact requirements. And you can rest assured that the very high standards of quality assurance set by the Dairy Industry of Australia are fully met.
Both Salus dairy powder and Salus Lite are blended and some of the ingredients going into our product are - whey solids, palm oil, glucose, sodium caseinate, mineral salts, wheat protein and non-fat milk solids. Salus is a soft smooth free flowing powder with a milk powder appearance; it has a warm and fresh aroma with a clean tasty flavour.
This dairy powder is used not only in the confectionery industry for cakes, biscuits and breads but also in the manufacture of cheese, yoghurt, yoghurt drinks and favoured dairy drinks. Salus does not claim to be a milk powder, it is a dairy powder, but it is capable of successfully replacing milk powder in a very wide range of applications. Milk powders, whether skimmed or full cream, when mixed with water may look like milk but, in my opinion, do not taste like real milk. Salus dairy powder on the other hand has a very pleasant taste when drunk hot or cold.
Salus dairy powder has HACCP Quality Assurance certification, has an A rating from Dairy Food Safety of Victoria, Australia and has Australian Quarantine Inspection Service (AQIS) export certification. It is also Halal certified.
Specifications of both powders are available upon request.
