Taste A good clean natural flavour is characteristic of this cheese. It is free from all objectionable odours and taints
 
Appearance Even light cream colour. No mottling or cold curd apparent
Texture Firm close body with smooth consistency
Packaging Available in 20kg blocks. It is also obtainable in grated (100g - 5kg packs) and sliced form
 
Storage Store the product under chilled and dry conditions. Cheese should not be exposed to direct sunlight or strong odours
 
Transport For a typical short sea/inland transport journeys a 20/40 foot semi insulated container holding 20/22 tonne loads. For longer journeys butter should be moved in refrigerated 20/40 foot containers or in conventional refrigerated vessels.
 
 
 
Shelf Life Typically 3-6 months for cheese blocks and 40-70 days for sliced, diced and grated cheese when stored under the appropriate chilled conditions
 
Applications Reduced fat cheese is suitable for table use and for a wide variety of food ingredient applications including bakery, confectionery and other convenience food products.
